Yes, I too have fooled around a bit trying to understand plan9 and
also inferno many years back.

At the time I was highly impressed with it's design and it's ideas of
taking unix philosophy one step further.. By thinking of all system
resources in terms of files, streams and mount-points.

at the time I was a big enough fan of Brian Kernighan and the unix
bunch etc to also get a job offer at Bell Labs /Lucent Tech- which
existed and seemed to have a bright future at the time, but somewhere
along the way I changed tracks.

However in hindsight, I wonder how useful or relevant these concepts
are in today's era of gui and touch computing- wherein I feel that
many of the MS Windows idioms(eg: ole , dde, com, IDispatch
interfaces) are better conceptualized and more practical.
