Any conversion results in loss of quality. Your DVD player can play only
formats which are standards. One such I know is libxvid/mp3.
Also the quality depends on the bitrate.
So using libxvid/mp3 on a video bitrate of around 1500 kbps will give you
good quality and mp3 of 128+ kbps will give good sound quality. This can be
done using ffmpeg/mencoder. Both work. But note, the size will increase upto
1-3 GB !
So you need a pen drive for this !
