comparison of linux with windows is inevitable, especially when you are talking to layman computer users. they will not be interested in the philosophy of unix much. they are more worried about why they should give up windows in favor of something else. that needs to be explained. if we are talking to a bunch of programmers, then its a totally different ball game.
