What client are the users you are trying to download from using and
which version of linuxdcpp are you using?

Linuxdcpp is a port of DC++. DC++ has an updated core (using ADC
instead of NMDC), whereas clients like oDC use a much older core (and
haven't been updated in years). If the user you are trying to download
from is using oDC, then you're out of luck. You will either have to
use a much older version of linuxdcpp (which is very buggy - I tried
it out), or you will have to switch clients to something like valknut,
which is functional, and uses the older core. (http://
