Infact this one of the most difficult and unanswered question which is
related to our existence and what is our system should be inorder to see
mankind for next 100000 year.
We lived in caves, jungles, kabilas, kilas, villages, kingdoms,
nations, multinational.. at anystage we cannot predict the next one. at
every stage we have inertia to believe this is good stage. we can never say
which life style is OK. so if after 50 years we may see Matrix made by
amazon cloud powered by facebook+google and next generation may decide to
live inside Matrix forever, they might like educomp's virtual university
which is highly interactive then today education. next generation might
accept this as good but if you ask 50 year old person he will say it is a
slavery. This slavery might be wrong in our perspective and maynot be wrong
in next generation's perspective.
In a different perspective, I see, machine are getting stronger day by day
but not human. We are preparing a technology for very drastic changes in
social and economic life, this is almost like a technology race which can
corrupt whole system (ex - patents, close standards, bad practices).
technology may create a great danger. After 30 years of development, we see
a huge monopoly and bad practices in market. Imagine what will happen after
300 years. I do not think, world must not be governed by technologist as
they try to create new but it may or may not be good. It should be govern on
basic of stability of human-mankind system. FOSS is one answer to fight with
monopolies...
