Check if network cable is plugged in and working correctly
$ sudo mii-tool eth0
Ex:
a...@arul-desktop:~$ sudo mii-tool eth0
eth0: negotiated 100baseTx-FD flow-control, link ok
If you want brief info about network cable try thus,
$ sudo ethtool eth0
Ex:
a...@arul-desktop:~$ sudo ethtool eth0
