If you want see the clock time on your terminal,

$ export PS1="${PS1%\\\$*}"' \t \$ '

:-)

Ex:

shriniva...@shrinivasan-laptop:~$ export PS1="${PS1%\\\$*}"' \t \$ '
shriniva...@shrinivasan-laptop:~ 09:50:27 $ echo "Have a nice day"
Have a nice day
shriniva...@shrinivasan-laptop:~ 09:50:52 $
