I think, Google group maintain html to text conversion, I am pretty happy with it. Look at this - http://groups.google.com/group/iitdlug/msg/bffa6a3cabf6d00a?dmode=source you can see, earlier main went as html because i used bold letter in it later main went as text. What you mean by "should not " allow html mails ? I am ok when somebody write html mail we can hint him not to use it, but I cannot thinking for banning for just html/text mails. newbiew here do not know about "subject of mail" and post mail with out subject. putting such rules will discourage many newbies. Google is anyways converting html into text for us. Also AFAIK - text mail were used to save bandwidth but now we have good bandwidth for communication.
