Hello people,

I have been using Ubuntu 10.10 installed inside Windows using wubi (it was
installed in G:/ or /dev/sda7 if you prefer.). Last evening, I had to
perform a hard shut down (that is, by keeping the power button pressed for a
few seconds.) because of a system hang up. The next time I tried to go to
Ubuntu, I was greeted with a grub command line (it said Minimal command line
editing in BASH style is supported). I could not understand what to do with
this command line system, so I typed exit and left. When I went to Windows,
I got a message stating that G:/ needs to be checked for consistency or
internal errors. During that process, it removed the index for root.disk.
That gave me an idea that I should go and check G:/ubuntu/disks and sure
enough, root.disk was not there :(
So I did a google search for root.disk and found this page:

<http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1523175>I tried looking in
C:/found.000 and G:/found.000. G:/found.000 did not exist, while
C:/found.000 did not contain any root.disk.

It seems like all my Ubuntu data has been lost. Can anyone give me a
suggestion for a way to get it back?

Thanks,
Mihir
