I use Genius FaceCam 312 doesn't correctly work on Kubuntu 10.10.
Once trying skype test camera (or Kopete) or guvcview the camera's led
lights for a seconds and turned off without any response no output is
appeared.
- However, that camera is supported for linux kernel 2.6.21 above and
my linux is 2.6.36..
- I tried to fix the bandwidth by the following two commands but no
new:
sudo rmmod uvcvideo
sudo modprobe uvcvideo quirks=128
for a more permanent fix I created the following file:
/etc/modprobe.d/uvcvideo.conf
and I add the following line:
options uvcvideo quirks=128
***cheese"terminal result":
modys...@ubuntu:~$ cheese

Keeping in mind, I tested that camera on an older version but it
worked out of box.
Is there any help, please.I would be grateful.
