After going through many of the posts, i have realized that Facebook
is doing good contribution to opensource. They have contributed to
many projects at Apache and MYSQL. I havn't seen any other big website
releasing so much details about its infrastructure.

Also they have released a php to c++ converter (hiphop) that they use
under open source license.
