the networks you want to connect to take IP addresses on their own ? or you have to set them .. I mean when you use them on you-know-what ? i mean to ask is if there is a dhcp running or you enter the ipaddress and other details manually.
right click network manager and go to the wired or wireless tab, select the connection you want to connect to and click on edit. ipv6 should be disabled (its not used in india presently) and ipv4 should be set to automatic DHCP (if you get automatic address) or manual (enter the details manually). Although I think you would have already tried these things out .. but do revert back to us. -- regards Anuvrat Parashar Vice President, ALiAS (Amity Linux Assistance Sapience) Member, Digit Community Advisory Council -- l...@iitd - http://tinyurl.com/ycueutm
