as far as i know wireless dont work nicely if u have dell and ubuntu below 10.04. But with 10.04 and above creating ad-hoc is easy.. 1. System->preferences->network connections. 2. Wireless tab. Add new. 3. SSID, name your ad-hoc. Select Mode as ad-hoc 4. Under IPv4 setting, Select Method share to other computers 5. Click okay and you are done.
