Hi Guys,
I want to use an image which was released with CC license (2.5).
Copyright holder of image publish it under the following license:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This file is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share
Alike 2.5 Generic license.
You are free:
* to share – to copy, distribute and transmit the work
* to remix – to adapt the work
Under the following conditions:
* attribution – You must attribute the work in the manner
specified by the author or licensor (but not in any way that suggests
that they endorse you or your use of the work).
* share alike – If you alter, transform, or build upon this
work, you may distribute the resulting work only under the same or
similar license to this one.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now I want to use that image as it is in a commercial android project.
I am not doing any alternation or transformations to the image.Only
using it as it is.As per my understanding ,I need to give credits to
original author of the image in EULA, and thats it or do I also need
to mention that image used is under CC 2.5 ?.
second question is that I can safely release code(Java code) what ever
license I want. CC is only for content and not for the source code ?
Thoughts ?
