I am definitely not musing over the lack of reliability in wikipedia
as if you have read my very first post I cleared that *I don't know
how the authenticity of the articles are maintained (if there are any
rules and regulation in case of false information)* or the action
against the user who has put the wrong information there.

There is some difference between a typo and a wrong information cited.

yeah I agree but I am just talking about the worst case say (if anyone
knows) what policies wikipedia had adopted 10 years back when this
concept of open wiki introduced? We have open source softwares with
all freedom but still we have a licence GPL which restricts people to
do anything beyond the rules. similarly if there is anything in the
case of circulating wrong information to the wikipedia ?
