Hence a python users group will have people > from all over - linux guys, windows guys, mac guys IMHO - we must concentrate over FOSS platform only. Writing software for Windows is an indirect support to Windows. i do not agree with this approach , we need to write for all platforms. How does writing FOSS software for windows will support windows or M$ , what about the person who is writing the software who gets paid in the process and he is a legit FOSS person. So we cannot have a fatwa just like that in my IMHO :-) Supporting GNU/Linux and unSupporting M$ platform are two different task and one should follow both. correct i agree with this approach, what do you mean by UnSupporting ? At the same time even If Software is FOSS, one must boycott it it work on non-standards OR close standards because importance of open standards is more then open source. this is a all together a different topic , this thread lets keep for understanding what it means and how one is going to support the Ecosystem or talk about how you think it works. -Satya -- LUG@IITD - http://tinyurl.com/ycueutm
