I have seen many newbies leave out linux and revert back to using Windows because they say that it requires too much download for all the software. and they have limited download internet plans. With your script they can always share OSS softwares, the easy way :), by downloading them on friend's computers. I wonder why this has not been done before properly by the Linux community( maybe because most of the Linux community is in developed countries where unlimited internet became the norm a long time back!)
