Hi,
I have recently purchased a new Dell Inspiron 15r laptop with Nvidia
gt 525m graphics card.
I am dual booting Ubuntu 10.04(fully updated) along with Win
7(preinstalled). I am facing following problems
a. WiFi not working, but Bluetooth is.
b. I can listen to audio only via headphones but not on inbuilt
speakers.
c. Web Cam is not working.
d. Nvidia Graphics Card driver problem.
While on Windows everything works absolutely fine.. : (
Previously I had installed Nvidia 270.41.19.run driver for Linux from
Nvidia website, while I was able to install it.As soon as I restarted
the X server, there was this message that Ubuntu running on very low
graphics mode... followed by reconfiguration option.
After that I re installed Ubuntu and then updated it.Now again when I
rebooted the system same error message was there.
While in Gnome, when there is this Nvidia X Server settings, when I
click on it this is what I get :

"You do not appear to be using the NVIDIA X driver. Please edit your
X configuration file (just run `nvidia-xconfig` as root), and restart
the X server."

I tried this in tty after stopping the X server, but still the same
problem persist. Will an upgrade to latest version will be of any help
or may be trying some different distro ..??

Thanks
