Though no shortcuts or the commands worked I opened the folder. In the "Go" menu there is "Search for files" option. I searched for "ccsm" and selected the ccsm executable file. It opened the compiz window. I checked the "Unity plugin" option as it was unchecked due to which i had this problem. After I checked the unity plugin it showed few dialog boxes showing conflicts. I selected "reslove conflicts". A few boxes came and resolved the conflict anyway. Now the unity was back into action. :) There might be other ways of doing this but this was how i was able to solve my problem. Happy to help. :) -- Regards, Manohar Bhattarai (मनोहर भट्टराई) http://about.me/manoharbhattarai http://www.facebook.com/pages/Manohar-Bhattarai/130973796914160 Blogs: http://manoharbhattarai.wordpress.com/ Microblogs: Twitter :- http://twitter.com/mhrbhattarai Identi.ca :- http://identi.ca/manoharbhattarai -- Mailing list guidelines and other related articles: http://lug-iitd.org/Footer
