Thank you for adding more info. You have correctly identified that you need put your wifi card in master mode. I do remember that at least one of the broadcom chipsets didn't allow you to do that. If the site says that this is one of those then you are out of luck. If you just want to be able to communicate between the two, why don't you turn your android device into an AP?
