To Do changes in squid.conf ( configuration file)
*gedit /etc/squid/squid.conf*


I used 2.7 for my utility lab and it having a single file of *squid.conf*

After 3 version it having separate files u have to see the
*squid.conf*file and search for this line
*# INSERT YOUR OWN RULE(S) HERE TO ALLOW ACCESS FROM YOUR CLIENTS*

To Block The Ip series :
*acl host src 192.168.1.0/24

*Acl : Access Control List

To block sites :

Dstdomain :This is the effective method to control
specific domain

*acl badsites dstdomain .youtube.com .roboture.in*

To block site using file :

*acl badsearch url_regex -i "/etc/squid/filename.acl"

http_access deny host badsites

http_access deny badsearch

http_access allow host
