Hi all ,
When I tried to create an new user account in my System (running on
Ubuntu 10.10 ) using
useradd and passwd , Every thigng went fine while executing the
commands .
useradd username
passwd username
but after executing these commands , when I looked in /home there were
no directory named after new user created (ie, no home directory for
new user created ) ,
again , the users name is shown in the login lists
and when tried to login to that account I got the following error
"Couldnt update .ICEauthority " ,
why there is no /home/usename directory after the user were
succesfully created ?
("I think second error is consequence of that ")
please help .
