New Year Greetings.!.
During 2011 we had just ~ 5 monthly Foss/Linux meetups .
Should we all kick start it freshly & energetically ?
I would like to narrate few points about why we couldnt conduct regular
monthly meetups in the past year.
* Venue is the big problem, since NCR/Delhi is spread over such a large
region.
we couldnt get the central place to all the NCR students/geeks.
* Very few students only have interest to attend / take in charge to
organize meetups.
* Students have always exams (often)
What we have to do ...
* The distance of venue is not at all big problem to the people(both
students/Industrial people), if they are really wanted to be in.
* I really appreciate that if we should concentrate on normal college
students other than IIT.
If we lighten up normal engg/ arts-science college students life,
that should help them to survival in the current IT/foss industry.

For eg, KanchiLug people have been conducting regular weekly meetup
for past 120 weeks.
They dont even have place (chairs, table), computers & projector. They
have just one laptop and sitting in the temple ground.
VizhupuramLug, CoimbatoreLug people are also conducting their regular
foss meetups with their very limited resources (place, projector).
All these lugs are organizing mostly by students only.
If they can, why cant we ?
Note : I got good information from Satyaakam Goswami that JNU
Prof.Andrew offering the place for the regular meetup with projector.
May be not though !
So what for we waiting still ?
When we should have our next foss/geek meetup ?
