Actually its 20/20/20 rule. In which every 20 min, we have to focus on an object atleast 20feet away for 20sec. But I doubt crontab will work. cron usually daemonizes that jobs. So they wont be having any attached terminals or displays to show a pop up.
What I did was to use xmessage. Its also possible to use zenity, notify to build dialog box to remind us. :) -- Arjun S R http://about.me/arjunsr On Thu, Jan 19, 2012 at 13:02, Narendra Sisodiya <[email protected]> wrote: > Step 1 - Download Or Prepare one image ,which you want to see in full > screen > > Step 2 -- sudo apt-get install eog xdotool > > Step3 - > > touch ~/Launch.sh > chmod +x ~/Launch.sh > gedit ~/Launch.sh > ---------------Copy Paste Following ----- > #!/bin/bash > > FileName="/home/narendra/eye/eye-exercises-to-improve-vision.jpg" > eog $FileName > xdotool key F11 > WinID=$(xdotool search $(basename $FileName)) > xdotool key --window $WinID F11 > > exit 0 > ------------------------------------------------------------- > > now Set CronJob > > $crontab -e > Use editor to set following cronjob > > 0,30 * * * * /home/narendra/Launch.sh > > ================================= > make sure, your Image path and Launch.sh path is correctly set !! > > > > > -- > ┌─────────────────────────┐ > │ Narendra Sisodiya > │ http://narendrasisodiya.com > └─────────────────────────┘ > > -- > Mailing list guidelines and other related articles: > http://lug-iitd.org/Footer -- Mailing list guidelines and other related articles: http://lug-iitd.org/Footer
