This is what you can do. Just do 'gem install heroku' & not the
complete bundle. You can then deploy the code to heroku which would
then do the bundler thing while deployment. You anyway cant test the
app on your localhost owing to oAuth things. Can you please join http://groups.google.com/group/ninjaclan/ & start posting replies to the thread http://groups.google.com/group/ninjaclan/browse_thread/thread/549762aa22a89540 . There are couple of other contributors who got interested too & I want to keep all the dialogues consolidated at one place. Btw - let me know if what I suggested did not work. Would try to figure out a work around. Its a pretty basic rails app with some heavy oAuth though. The version so far is done by me & a friend Utkarsh. The readme has pretty detailed instructions to get started. A quick brief about the app - its called hashAG. Basically it is suppose to parse a user's tweet with hashtag #ag & publish it to his angellist startup status. Angellist (angel.co) is a community developed by two Indians in silicon valley to connect entrepreneurs with investors. Usually lot of entrepreneurs (like me) use twitter as a channel to market their startup. You would get detailed information on how & why here - http://groups.google.com/group/ninjaclan/browse_thread/thread/549762aa22a89540 I personally need this app so be assured that this would be something that would go into production. I believe that there are lot of small but industry relevant stuff can be developed & I look to engage college students for the same. I also look to create a segment on stalkninja.com where people can source contributors for their open source project. If anybody is interested to work on this, let me know & this could be the first project there. You would need to show your competency by at least able to install & run the current app on a heroku server. I can add you as contributor to the github project & we can then take it off from there. If you are able to do the same, drop me a mail with your heroku url. If you get stuck & need help, feel free to ping. You would need basic knowledge of rails, git & heroku to be able to deploy & then start tweaking with the code.
