LiveText, a 15 year old, multi-million dollar, US-based educational technology and consulting company, is looking for experienced PHP programmers to add to its growing development team in India. The best candidates for this position will have significant experience with design preparation and presentation, code development, documentation preparation, web development, unit testing, and software debugging.
Duties and Responsibilities: ● Work closely with US-based teams to ensure objectives can be accomplished within deadlines and meeting technical specifications ● Develop and present ideas and solutions based on technical requirements ● Ability to consider and implement best strategy to ensure design and coding meets performance, usability, accessibility and scalability requirements ● Strong understanding of scalability issues and how to prevent and resolve them ● Solve technical problems and develop efficient and reusable code ● Participate in code reviews to ensure code meets all common coding and design guidelines ● Create usable & scalable architecture with clean code Technical Skills: ● Expert level proficiency with PHP and MySQL ● Experience working with Zend or another MVC framework ● Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, AJAX and JavaScript and integration of the same for database-driven application ● Working knowledge of Prototype JS, jQuery, or other Javascript Frameworks ● Understanding of Design Patterns ● Understanding and experience using Git ● Understanding of Linux based systems Requirements: ● B.Tech/B.E/MCA or equivalent from a reputed institute ● 5+ years development experience with PHP ● Must have demonstrated experience building web applications ● Ability to write reusable code ● Ability to work across time-zones when needed ● Self-starter with ability to learn quickly ● Excellent communication skills required, written and verbal ● Attention to detail extremely essential ● Able to follow instructions efficiently Reporting and Compensation: ● The selected candidates will be based out of South Delhi office of LiveText India. The job may occasionally require travel to Chicago (US). ● The selected candidate will be reporting to the India Head.
