this will be helpful for everyone , in the scenarios like yours i suggest
using  sshpt , where you can have a list of server ip addresses,also no
need to generate keys also you can log all that is happening .

if you want to do it manually start using clusterssh , also in the long
learn start learning about tools like puppet or chef or  saltstack ,
actually given a choice there are ways to automate things using fabric too
again depends on your skills and time .
