apt-get man page states that you can forbid a package from installing and 
also remove it if installed, by appending a hyphen to the package name.

sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras ttf-mscorefonts-installer- 

should solve the issue. Since u-r-e is a meta package, and is not usually 
updated, you can be sure that ttf-mscorefonts-installer will not be 
delivered via an update later.
