Hi all I guess most of the Linux distributions distribute openjdk. I also use openjdk primarily. but there are situations sometimes where oracle/sun's jdk is recommended. like these days I am working on Hadoop/Hbase.
I am little reluctant to switch to oracle jdk. would anyone tell me what is drawback of openjdk? openjdk is old enough still things are written on top of sun's jdk. I see openjdk will be adopted in future, Am I wrong if I think so? or if there is very little difference between these two then should I be flexible to choose between these two according to situation? thanks -- -- Mailing list guidelines and other related articles: http://lug-iitd.org/Footer --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Linux User Group @ IIT Delhi" group.
