We are doing this right now, and it's more than a few cents difference. Our
prototype (Arduino, sensors, wiring) costs about $45. Our boards will cost
about $5 and could be cheaper if we make a lot of them.

from long time I was having misconception that it can be used for product
design. Now I came to know that this is mostly used for "Prototyping of
Product" rather then production.
Arduino or PI can be used as product when they are designed for special
case with high price at very low quantity.
