Maybe I can try :-) Maybe "eager instantiation" is a way of describing the behavior of ypsilon in as few words as possible. This is to contrast it with lazy instantiation (e.g., the Java initialization semantics where evaluating a variable reference starts the initialization) and to minimize confusion with Ikarus's behavior.
