Hi Ramana, Actually, (rnrs mutable-pairs) seems to only offer set-car! and set-cdr!. At least this is the case in Ikarus and Ypsilon. So it doesn't offer a way to construct lists. The R6RS 'cons' makes lists that are mutable. Moving set-car! and set-cdr! seems to be a "writing on the wall" gesture; shape of things to come. Ed
