That bug report is about using 'set!' on exported variables. But I didn't do that in the transcript. I reloaded a library.
Yes, I realized.
Maybe you can submit a bug report that shows my transcript. ;-)
Why would I?
I like the behaviour it currently has for reloading libraries.
If you like it, then it's a feature. Seriously though. Nothing of what you're asking is not doable already, or can be made doable easily with minor additions. You might happen to like some X behavior more than some Y behavior, and that's fine by me, and I would accommodate any changes needed to make X behavior better. But understand that there are other people (including myself) who may also like Y behavior better (for whatever reason they have). Your best course of action is to identify the things that you really cannot currently do (not things that you think you can't do) and ask about how to best do these things. Some may need some changes to Ikarus, while some may need minor change to the way you do things. I would be happy to make changes that make Ikarus better and more useful. I also reserve the right to reject ideas that I see in direct conflict with the way I view Ikarus (after all, I'm the one working on it and maintaining it and would be held responsible for these features).
