I quote from Pichai. PICHAI CHUENSUKSAWADI: Well, you know, I think as Korn said earlier, the King doesn\'t usually, in past coups, come out and endorse an action like this. The King is above politics. Of course at every birthday anniversary he does make statements which are interpreted and reported, quite frankly, and a lot of people will take action from that. But in this particular case I would be surprised if the King came out and endorsed anything like that. TONY JONES: I\'ve just been given the statement, it\'s just come on the wires. Evidently the general leading the coup, General Sonthi, has said that for the sake of the nation\'s peace and order the King has appointed him to become the leader of the Military Council for Political Reform. How seriously do you regard that statement? PICHAI CHUENSUKSAWADI: Well, in the experience that we\'ve had there are a lot of people who have had audiences, or people say that, \"This is what the King said,\" and by that I mean no one really knows. When they have audiences with His Majesty the King, it\'s a private affair and it\'s very difficult to comment when you\'re not actually there. So, likewise, I can\'t comment. A lot of people claim that they\'re doing things on behalf of the King, this has happened in the past. I really can\'t comment further on that, really. What is Democracy !!! Yahoo!
