Jollibee is the number 1 fastfood chain in the Philippines.

For Filipino families, specially children, going to Jollibee is always a treat.
It's like you're celebrating your birthday even when you're not.
It's no surprise that Jollibee's mascot, a large, orange bee in a blazer,
shirt, and chef's hat who goes by the same name, is more popular in the country
than, say, Blue's Clues or Dora.
I myself am a big Jollibee fan. Whenever I'm home in the Philippines I stuff
myself with enough Jollibee food to last until the following year. (I usually
go home once a year.) Chickenjoy (Chicken-joy, get it?) and Palabok (round rice
noodles with thick, golden shrimp sauce) go together well for me. Some might
find it an unlikely combination but it works for me.
Other favorites are the burgers, Jolly Spaghetti, Jolly Hotdog, and Ice Craze
(Halo halo: sweets and shaved ice, a popular Filipino dessert).

By 2006, Jollibee owns 100 percent of the Greenwich Pizza Corp.
A year later the company acquired the franchise of Délifrance. This further
expanded its penetration in the food service industry particularly in the
French cafe-bakery, a growing segment of the Philippine food market.
In 2000, the company acquired Chowking, allowing Jollibee to be part of the
Oriental quick service restaurant segment.
In 2005, Jollibee acquired Red Ribbon Bakeshop, another popular fastfood
restaurant in the Philippines that specializes in cakes and pastries.
Along with its Philippine brands, the company also runs a Chinese fastfood
chain, Yonghe King in mainland China, and a popular teahouse chain from Taiwan
called Chun Shui Tang (Spring Water Hall). Chun Shui Tang teahouse opened a
branch along Shanghai's Huaihai Road on June 30, 2006.
It seems like JFC is set for world domination.
