Title: Configuration Manager Location: Charlotte NC Duration: 6 Months Responsibilities: * Define, document, and maintain Configuration Management standards and procedures for assigned platforms; this includes branch and merge management, configuration item identification and version control, baseline management, and governance * Demonstrated ability to work effectively with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment with the ability to multi-task. * Ability to effectively communicate with individuals within all levels of technical and non-technical skills * Support an aggressive release cycle with multiple parallel development efforts and a demanding build and deployment schedule; the ability to work off hours and weekends * Perform branch and merge activities according to procedures and the release schedule * Consult with platform Development leads to help define build and deployment procedures, write Install Manifests, and resolve configuration management issues * Perform software builds and deployments for assigned platforms and releases; maintain build scripts * Take ownership of incident management activities for unplanned outages in pre-production environments. * Manage and control pre-production environment configurations. * Coordinate the planning and creation of new environments and any changes to existing environments. * Coordinate with development, release management, and quality assurance on schedules and handovers for builds and deployments * Publish documentation, release schedules, build status and configuration details for assigned platforms. * Gather and analyze statistics on CM a, build, and deployment activity on a weekly basis This candidate should have the following skill set: Several years of experience in pre-production environment of building and deploying complex internet applications. * At least 5 years of experience deploying J2EE applications on WebLogic application server. * Proven expertise using and supporting Base ClearCase and UCM.
