Development was opened to the community last October, however there has been plenty of changes in CVS that haven't had a snapshot since last April. Unfortunately I'm no longer in a position to develop substantially since I went back to uni, but I did post a list of outstanding patches and urged the remaining developers to release an unstable snapshot as soon as possible. So far we've had no snapshot, so I can't even help with bug fixing. I hope someone else can present you with more encouraging news!
