Thanks for the tipp. I corrected the path and it went one step further, now the following message appears: Warning: mysql_pconnect(): Can't connect to MySQL server on 'www.mydomain.org' (4) in /usr/lib/ilohamail/include/idba.MySQL.inc on line 27
As I see, the connection to MySQL Server was rejected and I checked also the configuration file: db_conf.php and the setting are as the documentation says: DB_HOST='www.mydomain.org' (I tried also the IP Nr. and localhost) DB_USER='root' (database webmail has been run through mysql as root) DB_PASSWORD='secret' (password is in plain text) I checked the connection from outside through phpMyAdmin and login works, from internal terminal, too. Firewall is down. The permissions on ilohamail directory is set for wwwrun (user) and root (group), rwxr-xr-x. I'm working through this all since a week and I getting inpatient.
