Hi friends,
Before the last Sunday I used to wonder whats the best way to make sure
that an ILUG-Cal meeting gets totally botched. I have the answer now. Just
make sure of the presence of the following (preferably working together for
greater effect).
1. An important cricket match is scheduled on the same day;
2. The elements are against you (read as...heavy rains, slushy weather);
3. Seasonal colds & viral fevers doing rounds in Cal. (quite a few rang me
up to report sick)
By 5:30 PM, only three people (Darshan, Rohit & Indra) were noticed
standing in front of SXC, keeping a sharp lookout for any potential
suspects turning up. By 5: 40, it was decided to abondon the mission. After
a short de-briefing session, the three amigos rode on a taxi (which hailed
them for a change :), down the well-travelled path to the doors of New
Empire theatre to check out the movie being shown.
The amigos, in a bout of severe meanness, decided to term their going to
the movie as the 1st Official Outing of ILUG-Cal. They figure that rest of
the gang is going to feel sorry to have missed this glorious opportunity to
make ILUG-Cal history :)))
