Just a thought...try adding X1 to the init string for minicom.....

Hi,
I'm trying to setup minicom (to use those neat scripts sent from
Bombay).My modem is dialing but apprently won't won't connect at all,
whereas Seyon connects neatly.My init string in minicom is:
~^M~ATS11=45S10=100S7=45S0=0L3V1X0&c1E1Q0^M
