Inigo,

Acting on a hunch, I disconnected from the Net, then tried to set the 
mailserver as cal.vsnl.net.in (both for SMTP & POP3) from 
mail.flashmail.com...and what do you know?? Netscape says 
"cal.vsnl.net.in is not known" .. :)) 

Set the mailserver when you are online and this error will not 
happen...pls ignore the junk I posted previously...
