Dear Friends:
I have called CSI(Mr. Subimal Kundu) RS Software and TCS. I have requested
CSI if they could lend us the projection system free.
I have asked TCS and RS for some funds to meet the expense. Therefore if
funds are available I would like to book the Auditorium.
CSI has an executive meeting tomorrow when they will decide on this.
Regards to all,
JPM.

Here is the copy of my text to Sudhir Mullick of TCS.

Dear Sudhir:

The Linux Opearting System has captured a significant market
in recent months. Today we find most of the Industry Standard RDBMS
are also made available on Linux.

Since this OS is free and reliable the industry is also using
Linux for business apllications.

To make this valuable OS more easily available to the students
of computer science and the industry, the Linux User Group of Calcutta
is organizing a Seminar on September 4, 1999. The plan is to hold
the meeting at the auditorium at St. Xavier's College. The seminar
will be for about 7 hours spanning from 10.00AM to 5.30 PM.

Astralsys will be sponsoring the meet and funding about Rs. 10,000, to
cover part of the expense. We will also provide the hardware and
software required to demonstrate Oracle on Linux, Star Office etc.

We will aprreciate it if TCS could also sponsor this seminar and
encourage some of your software professionals to participate in
the seminar. We will also appreciate it if TCS could contribute towards
some of the expense and lend a projection system for the day for the
seminar.

Your active support will be appreciated

Thank you,
J.P. Mathew
