For those familiar with the layout of Salt lake, here is the route in
case you happen to come via Ultadanga, from PNB take the right turn and
then straight, the following bus-stops will have to be traversed -->
PNB --> Tank No. 2 --> CA market --> CA Island --> Vidyasagar Island -->
Labony housing --> Labony Island --> Phalguni
The buses on this route usually takes a right turn after Phalguni to go
towards the VidyaBhavan School --> Kalo bari --> Tank no. 13/Purbachal
So you should get down at Phalguni and keep walking straight for about
10 minutes (maybe even 15 depending on how fast you walk). The FC Block and
then GC block will be on the left-hand side of the road.
Alternatively you can take an auto-rickshaw to Tank No. 13 from
Ultadanga/Hudco
X-ing, the fare used to be Rs. 3.50. It will set you down at tank No. 13
from where you can ask the locals about the way to GC block, it is short 3
- 5 minutes walk from tank o. 13. Alternatively, tell the autowallah that
you want to go to GC block and to let you down before he takes the right
turn towards VidyaBhavan School.
The info about Siraz restaurant and all as mentioned by JPM will
help as landmarks to get your bearings once you are in the vicinity of FC
block.
