Folks,
The official ilug-cal website is currently under development. The design
is more or less complete, and I'm hoping to put up the entire site by the
end of the coming week.
Stuff that I need from the lot of you
--------------------------------------
I need all of you to post your details to the list. Try to
describe yourself, and what you do (for a living or in your spare time),
in about 2 - 3 lines. We'll be trying to get a photoshoot done at the next
meet (maybe coming sunday?), so please try to be there.
Projects
--------
Darshan, you promised to polish up the Webmail app and the specs for the
Financial App we talked about, a long long time ago. Please hurry up the
process, I need the data within the coming week. Before Sunday!!
I seem to vaguely remember someone mentioning a library management system.
Whoever it was, please wake up.
Articles
--------
Come on people it doesnt take that long to write one. For those who werent
present for the initial meetings, this is an open call. If you've done
_anything_ on linux you think is worth talking about, WRITE!
Parthoda you WILL finish your article by this week. Doesnt matter if
similar articles are already out there, we need content.
Personal Experiences
--------------------
If you've managed to solve any hairy problems, or haven't managed to solve
them yet, please talk about it. Inigo, talk about you cd-writer problems,
so if nothing else, whoever reads the article, knows what to avoid. A
Yamaha sound card problem got fixed some time ago - I overheard this at
the last meet. Whoever it was, you owe the LUG a document on that.
The demo website will be hosted somewhere by the end of this evening, so
all of you can take a look, and help out if you want to. Please go
through the sections you'll get to see, and figure out where you can
contribute.
The main ilug website has finally registered us, which means our website
is going to start attracting attention. Lets try and get some originality,
and not compile a bunch of links.
