I was trying to install LINUX 6.0 again on my PC ( just to show it to my
friend that how easy it is to install ). I was installing it on Linux
Partition . My windows partition was different ( I use windows for all my
official work , mail etc. etc .) I used Disk Druid for partitioning . I
have deleted my existing Linux partition ( not touched windows partition )
and made new partition for linux ( Swap and native) . I have selected all
the packages that i wanted and installation program started . At the time
of formatting the disk it gave some problem . The message is like that (not
exact mesg) " There Is some problem in mounting the disk . Use back button
to repartition " . I used back back button it gave the message that " There
is some problem in initializing the partition you will have to
reinitiallize the partition . Do want to do it " I said yes as i was
thinking the only the linux partition is getting initiallize . But......
Then it happened my whole partition including widows partition gone.
I could not recover the windoes partition and all my data gone ... ... BOO
.. HOO.. HOO..
I was *red* in front of my friend taking my *hat* off.
can any one tell me what mistake i have done and in such case can i
retrieve my data ( for future as i have installed windows again on one
partition this time)
