Bijoy-da,
Real glad to know finally that you have a voice ;-) If you are talking of
chronological age then Dee Keeper of dee
Official Umbrella (aka Partha-da) is unfortunately not the oldest among us. That glory
AFAIK goes to JPM -- behind his
back he is sometimes fondly referred to as "Kaka-babu". Next in line is probably
Ranjan-da (Sorry Ranjan-da if I make
you sound old ;), Malay-da would probably claim the third place, with Partha-da coming
at a measly forth. The majority
of us would however fall within the range of 20 - 25.
The above named "olde folks" however share a trait in common...they are all young at
heart, and they bring a sense of
sanity and experience to balance rest of our's restlessness and exhuberance. But the
fact common to all of us is that
we are madly enthusiastic about Information technology and Linux in particular. Geeks
rulz!
And rest easy... your "dada-hood" is pre-ordained as you are older then the majority
of the members.
Yes, it is certainly an idea we can think about ... maybe the "Wandering Linux
Minstrels of ILUG-Cal" could take a trip
up north ... do a bit of Linux advocacy, touch a few hearts, change a few lives :)
--Indra. <hopes desparately to escape in one piece at the next meeting after calling
so many people as greybeards>
*grins*
