Suman,

I hate to burst the bubble, but a realitycheck might be good over here. First, AFAIK
the fineprint of some of these
Caltiger ads mention that the account can be used only from one particular phone
number). Secondly, the people at
Caltiger are only at home with MS products... Linux?? Duh! whats that???

One of our new members, who happens to be a Caltiger agent and attended the last
meeting confirmed all our worst fears
about Caltiger -- that they are not Linux-friendly. I won't say you shouldn't go for
it, but do take a good look at it
before you do.

Besides, while the internet connectivity costs have come down a lot (from what they
used to be), accessing the Net is
still too costly... what use is unlimited access when the actual bandwidth available
is limited at best, security of
the systems pathetic, managed (mis?) by clueless admins, but most importantly when you
end up paying a 14k+ phone bill
on average when you wish your account "unlimited" manner?? Believe me it hurts very,
very badly....!!

IMO, the actual need of the hour is to press for lower internet-friendly telco
charges, better system security and
higher bandwidth.

Cheers,
--i14a.
