hi all,
I a trying to use tcpdump. I have given the command tcpdump host localhost and
the response is : listening on ppp0. However, nothing happens, i.e., no TCP/IP
header is printed in the console, while I kept on browsing the net or made a
telnet connection to a certain server, sent e-mail through kmail, checked mails
etc. Please tell me how I can get the TCP/IP headers. Will I have to specify
the port number ? If so, please tell me how ? The documentation, i.e., the man
pages do not seem to be exhaustive in nature. Please help.
INDRADA, I EXPECT THE ANSWER SPECIALLY FROM YOU AS YOU
ALWAYS LIKE TO OPEN THE BAG AND LET THE CAT COME OUTSIDE,
EVEN IF IT IS NOT FAIR ENOUGH.
regards,
suman
