Hi,
I tried my system with RH 6.1 and Mandrake 6.1. I have 3 queries.
1) Does Yamaha's Ymf724 sound card work with Linux ? Mandrake 6.1 does
not seem to recognise it nighter does RH 6.1. Do I have a wrong card ?
2) Also, I am getting a very high resolution with Trident 3DMagic974 card
(generic) and a LG 450N monitor on RH 6.1. Mandrake 6.1 can not try
X-window in the installation program, no matter what combination I
choose. But RH 6.1 installation program gives the right graphical
display. What might be wrong ? monitor or VDU card ?
3) My Creative 48X CD Drive is very noisy. I feel like I am in helicoptor
when I try to read a CD. Anybody knows other CD driver that gives you a
smoother feeling like a car does ?
Anybody has solution? Thanks for reading anyway.
