Hi Listners,
I have been watching that there are some people on the list who
are into projects , eg Abhishek workin on this fasci.IP stuff and Sibayan
tells me he wants to write a driver simulator for media gx proc.. is
there a way we can form small clusters (say 2 or 3 interested people) and
develop these ideas ? I think that will be some credit to the cohesive
spirit of ilug-cal. I am aware that lots of people on this list busy with
their respective jobs and vey few people like me are while(1); but if we
could have the seniors on the list sketching out a few plans to
concretify the efforts made by individuals.
Please do not think that I want to undermine individual efforts.
I was just suggesting that there are people in this list with individual
ideas which could be cumulatively propagated. This will hold only if
all the developer's are willing to share the fruits of their labour.
I guess Linux is about sharing. Without robbing Linus of
credits, I can safely g_assert((Linux - Linus) != NULL). Linux is waht
it is because of 40K developers all around the world.
So if developers on this list would just make a post like this :
"I am foo trying to figure out a s/w that will enable me to learn
spoken English". Any co-workers interested ?? " Maybe we can all learn
more from such experiences.
Also, help could be needed for documentation , GPLing and other
stuff which will make your s/w a professional product. So please involve.
May the source be with us
